Scrotum 

PURPOSE:
           Ultrasound (sonography) is used to evaluate scrotal masses or abnormalities.

INDICATION:

            Common reasons for this examination include scrotal enlargement, pain, trauma, undescended tesetes.

PROCEDURE:

            Ultrasound gel is applied to the patient’s skin.  Multiple images are taken.

PREPARATION:

            None

The sonographer will do her best to provide you with a comfortable experience.
